The activity of Alliance Group as initiator of Russian-Italian cooperation in sphere of R&D and advanced aerospace manufacturing let to establish a partnership between Russian Helicopters and AgustaWestland. Both companies made a principle decision to place AW-139 helicopters license assembly line in Russia and set up Russian-Italian joint venture.

Now the established JV Helivert runs its industrial activity. Together with implementation of the main industrial function Helivert created a new MRO Center in order to provide AgustaWesland helicopters with the after sales support on the territory of Russian Federation.

Another project in the field of helicopters construction, which the Alliance Group supported, was the VRT-500 Program. The single-engine helicopter VRT-500, developed by the Russian design bureau, was originally oriented to the foreign markets, and therefore the assembly line was initially envisaged in Italy. Since 2015, the Alliance Group has been involved in relationships between Russian and Italian partners and potential suppliers to the program. With our support, the SPV VertexAero was created in Italy and filled with experienced specialists to be the helicopter manufacturer and of EASA DOA, POA and TC holder.

We have also done significant work in order to support certifying of the Ulan-Ude production plant in EASA in order to organize the final assembly line to produce these helicopters for the Russian market. Unfortunately, now, the implementation of the project in the previous paradigm is not possible.
